ABSTRACT
My firm and Chris Jaffe were early pioneers in the design and use of such systems in the 1970s electronic reflected energy systems (ERES) in order to provide reverberation time (RT) adjustability in lieu of moving drapes and banners. The technical systems have greatly improved in quality and reliability, but the negative attitude toward EA systems from purists, music critics, and musicians has been slow to change.
