ABSTRACT

Buildings are successfully designed not by an individual but by the shared vision and expertise of a team of experts working in collaboration and harmony with an owner, user groups, donors, and stakeholders. The best multi-use halls come from a process where the entire team is engaged right from the beginning of the project, not brought in after the design is set. The programming phase is the process where the uses of the hall are identified, priorities are set, and the audience size is discussed. Building costs and budget are also discussed in this phase.
