ABSTRACT

The paper analyzes the signicance of an individual’s perception of locus of control (LOC), which determines their functioning at work. It also looks at the results of our research into the relationship between work LOC and degree of occupational burnout. Numerous studies of the relationship between LOC and occupational burnout have been conducted before ours, but they focused mainly on a generalized perception of the LOC. Our research, however, investigates the relationship between individual beliefs about sources of control in the workplace and burnout syndrome.
