ABSTRACT
Modern radiotherapy (RT) is complex, and current treatment delivery is a signicant part of that complexity. Conformal RT, whether it consists of multiple xed, shaped elds or intensitymodulated radiation therapy (IMRT) created by nonuniform intensity distributions delivered using segmental or dynamic multileaf collimator (MLC) elds, is usually delivered using a computer-controlled treatment machine. e planning and delivery process used for this delivery involves many steps and many individuals within the RT department.
