ABSTRACT
Silicon is probably one of the most investigated materials worldwide and is the second most common element on earth. e semiconductor industry has relied upon silicon for decades and maximized its technical performance through increasingly sophisticated techniques, while decreasing the required functional size according to Moore’s law.
