ABSTRACT
In summary, BN is scienti cally interesting since it forms several allotrope structures as carbon does, but with some distinct properties. From a technological point of view, the combination of similar and distinct properties compared with those of their carbon analogs make BN structures interesting in situations where some of the outstanding properties of carbon structures are required and others are not.
