ABSTRACT
Computational dosimetry is primarily used for obtaining the prerequisite dosimetric parameters for every brachytherapy source intended for routine clinical use in the widespread formalism of the AAPM TG-43 (see Chapter 10). Hence, it forms the basis of conventional brachytherapy treatment planning practice.
