ABSTRACT
A shielded operating room (OR) is required for a dedicated xed HDR or mobile HDR-IORT facility, either in the Radiation Oncology Department or in the hospital operating suite. e shielding can be accomplished by lining an existing OR with lead, using an existing shielded treatment room, or constructing a room with appropriately thick concrete walls.
