ABSTRACT
Optical alignment means adjusting the positions of sources, optical components, and detectors to build an optical system as designed.1-3AO systems4-6 quite o¦en involve multiple sources, many optical components, and several optical function paths. Getting an AO system working e§ectively can take several iterations, where errors and misalignment are slowly worked out. Optical system designs and alignments have been discussed in many excellent books.7-11 Readers are recommended to read the referenced books if they are interested in gaining more knowledge on the topic.
