ABSTRACT
This chapter will introduce the basic concepts of radiation dosimetry metrics relevant to tomosynthesis imaging and how these can be measured and/or estimated. Then the ways in which image acquisition parameters involved in tomosynthesis imaging
affect the resulting dose will be discussed. Finally, applicationspecific patient dosimetry will be reviewed.
