ABSTRACT
Finding roots of polynomials up to the fourth order is a straightforward task and it can be accomplished, in general, by factorization into radicals. However, starting with the quintic equations (with f(x) being a fifth-order polynomial), there is no general method for an analytic solution and one has to resort to numerical methods.
