ABSTRACT

A perpetual option is an option that has no xed maturity and no exercise limit. Such options are interesting to consider because they are relatively simple to solve yet they provide approximations to the value of nite time cousins. Also, in insurance, many options are fairly long lived (for instance, the options embedded in various whole life contracts).
