ABSTRACT
The suture ends of each layer are brought out at the wound ends with the deepest layer the most distant from the wound end and the most superficial, in effect, being a subcuticular closure (see later). When the several strands are pulled, the wound comes together with no tension in any of the layers and leaving no dead space.
