ABSTRACT
We begin this chapter by reviewing digital drawing strategies, then provide in-depth coverage of algorithms designed to simulate charcoal pencil, colored pencil, and pen-and-ink drawing. We discuss four systems in depth in this chapter: graphite pencil drawing, colored pencil drawing, and two methods for pen-and-ink drawing.
