ABSTRACT

Electromechanical systems integrate a variety of components (actuators, power converters, sensors, ICs, etc.). As a result of the fast dynamics of ICs and sensors, the overall behavior of electromechanical systems is usually defined by the mechanical dynamics of electromechanical motion devices with the attached kinematics. In conventional and miniscale electromechanical systems, the output behavior depends on the equivalent mass m (for translational motion) or moment of inertia J (for rotational motion) as well as all other parameters.
