ABSTRACT
A key area for the security practitioner in which to develop strong skills is the area of security administration. This chapter discusses the aspects of the secure administration of an enterprise. It provides definitions for common security terms the practitioner will use in day-today work; discusses information critical to the understanding of information security fundamentals; and covers the personnel and technical aspects of securing an environment.
