[309/1] In the courteous Juan Yardad of Crostoncurt's 1 boat (for such was the Englishman's name) we proceeded with sail and oar over four leagues till we came to the mouth of a river. This we entered with great difficulty owing to the sand-banks, being soaked by the lashing and driving waves which the sea raised. 2
