ABSTRACT
[386/1] ON reaching the Metropolitan City 1 of the Kingdom of Sinde we at once anchored our ship at the choquidar or custom-house, where, owing to the lateness of the hour, no officials were present and we were obliged to pass the night on board until they came to visit us next day. They then gave us permission to disembark with our beds and other necessary utensils which were not liable to duty.
