In which the Author continues his journcy and describes what happened in the City of Kandahar until he left it

[397/1] As I have said, after overcoming and surmounting ali those difficulties, by Divine favour, we, on the eighteenth day, ¹ reached the ancient City of Kandahar, ² which, according 261to common report, was in past ages inhabited by Pagan Baneanes, ³ but to-day, being subject to the Mogol Monarchy, is mainly populated by people of Maumetan race. ⁴
