[452/1] After the lapse of fifty-three days since we left the City of Ferra, [452/2] God our Lord was pleased to put an end to our troublesome journey and the forty marches ² I referred to, [453/1] and we reached the famous Metropolitan City of Spahan or Haspan, standing on a bank of the Zindoroend or Senderu river, in latitude 32° 20ʹ N., within the borders of the province of Hirak or Arack. ³
