ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the wrap party after a film shoot is over. The author's advise is to treat the wrap party like another part of the job. Occasionally a show will go into production without the money to pay the crew, and disreputable producers will try to finish the shoot without paying everybody all they’re due. This is not only annoying, it’s illegal. But more important than that, the crew has the right to refuse to work until they get paid. Getting fired will probably happen to everyone at some stage and is often no reflection on the skill or ability. If a movie is going down the Swanee, even if it’s because the director has a drug habit, the first step the producers or the bond company can take is to fire the First assistant director The chapter presents a list of the minimum shooting crew one need to make a professional film or TV project.
