ABSTRACT

This chapter presents four key actions for addressing oppression and injustice: recognize, reveal, reject, and replace. These actions, we argue, must be embedded in the pursuit of coalitionbuilding, that is, these strategies help to build and sustain coalitions when they are enacted from an intersectionality-minded approach. This chapter provides cases from various sites of technical communication (e.g., nonprofit organizations and academic programs) to ground readers’ understanding and equip them for taking action in the world.
