ABSTRACT
The only pore model for filtration efficiency that can be applied in gas filtration is the one that describes a particular medium: the track-etched membrane with equal-diameter straight-through tunnels. The performance of the other types of membranes, produced by the solvent-cast method, fit the fiber surface area model (Liu and Rubow 1986).
