Equipment used for processing insect diets

Even after a successful artificial diet is developed, application of large-scale production of that diet is by no means automatic or straightforward. Simply speaking, when we go from experimental formulations, typically less than 0.5 kg, to production quantities, frequently more than 200 kg, we cannot simply multiply all components by 400 and obtain a diet that is exactly equal to the one prepared in the smaller batch size. The explanation for this phenomenon begins with the geometry of scale.
