ABSTRACT
VUR is the flow of urine back from the bladder into the upper urinary tract. With increasing degrees of severity, bladder urine may reach the ureters, renal pelvis, calyces or even reflux into the collecting ducts (intrarenal reflux). VUR may be primary, meaning that there is no apparent cause, or secondary to obstruction.
