ABSTRACT
The annual incidence of spinal cord injury within the UK is about 10-15 per million of the population. The cervical spine (55%) is the commonest site of injury, followed by the thoracic spine (15%), thoraco-lumbar region (15%) and the lumbo-sacral region (15%).
