ABSTRACT
One in 10 couples fail to conceive a child after a year of unprotected intercourse. Persons presenting after this time warrant evaluation. One-third of cases of infertility result from male factors, one-third from female factors and one-third from mixed contributory factors. Hence, ideally both male and female should be evaluated simultaneously. The causes of male infertility are shown in Table 10.1.
