ABSTRACT

This is an inflammation of the skin of the external ear. It presents as localized pain and swelling of the external auditory meatus, with discharge and erythema. The patient may complain of deafness on the affected side which will be conductive in nature. The following predispose to this condition:

• Heat. • Humidity. • Swimming. • Trauma.
