ABSTRACT

The patient is a 83-year-old man with a history of coronary artery disease (CAD), congestive heart failure (CHF), severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), carotid artery disease and chronic atrial fibrillation. Peripheral angiography performed for claudication and decreased ankle brachial indices (ABIs) demonstrated a large isolated iliac artery aneurysm of the left common iliac artery (Figure 24.1). As a result of the patient’s severe COPD and other co-morbidities it was felt that surgical repair carried a prohibitively high risk. Therefore, endoluminal treatment with a covered WallGraft was proposed.
