ABSTRACT

A 78-year-old man with hypertension, coronary artery disease, asymptomatic carotid stenosis and tobacco use presented with short-distance claudication of the left calf. Femoral pulses were normal; all distal pulses were absent. There were no lesions on the feet. Doppler examination revealed a resting ankle brachial index (ABI) of 0.64 on the left and 0.90 on the right.
