ABSTRACT
The basic task in a noise mapping project is the calculation of a noise indicator like Lden or Lnight at dened locations in a given environmental scenario. Uncertainty describes the possible deviation of the level determined from a “true value”; it can only be quantied if this latter ideal result is clearly dened.
