ABSTRACT

It is needed to take preventive measures to eliminate risks, or to reduce risks to an acceptable level, for the protection of workers who are exposed to dangerous chemicals, like lead is, and other risk factors of working conditions at work. Employer’s duty to ensure the safety and health of workers in every aspect related to the work, and his obligation to take the measures necessary for the safety and health protection of workers are imposed by the Council Directive 89/391/EEC of June 12, 1989, on the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work (89/391/EEC).
