ABSTRACT
The response of a structure exposed to fire can be analysed at different levels. It is the responsibility of the designer to select the level of analysis. The three possibilities are:
Global structural analysis
If the structure is rather simple or, in case of a complex structure, if a sufficiently sophisticated tool is available for the analysis, it is possible to consider the entire structure as a whole and to analyse it as a single object.
