ABSTRACT
Typical NIR spectra consist of broad overlapping bands which are very difficult to assign to specific chemical compounds. Figure 1 presents representative NIR spectra recorded for non-contaminated, contemporary and historical papers. The analysed papers are listed inTable 1.The curves have been offset for clarity.
