ABSTRACT
Schumacher (Schumacher et al. 2006) has carried out an experimental and numerical study to investigate two specific aspects of welded CHS bridge K-joint fatigue: the joint stresses (hot-spot stresses and stress concentration factors) at critical fatigue locations and the influence of the size effect on the fatigue resistance of these joints using a single site deterministic approach.
