ABSTRACT: This working group has dealt with specific problems in creep and shrinkage of concrete: collection of test data enough reliable as basis of prediction models, development and maintenance of the database and making technical reports on prediction equations for creep and shrinkage of concrete. In order to develop and verify prediction models for creep and shrinkage of concrete, reliable test data are necessary. It is difficult for an individual researcher to collect number of data under various conditions. It is desirable, therefore, that a database should be systematically developed and continuously maintained by a task group in academic associations, as had been done in RILEM and ACI. Learning from their activities, Japanese technical committees, JSCE308 (chairman Sakata, 1995-2000), JSCE320 (chairman Tsubaki, 2000-2003) and AIJ (chairman Mihashi, 2003-2006), developed a database for creep and shrinkage of concrete. Most data in the database were collected from technical papers published in Japan and classified into data of standard specimens and structures. This working group has united two databases and added some data shown in recent published journal. Precision of some prediction models was reviewed by data included in this database.
