ABSTRACT
HIV/AIDS is the modern world’s greatest pandemic and HIV is also the most important risk factor for development of tuberculosis (TB). This chapter describes recent thinking on how control of TB needs to be adapted to assert and maintain control of TB in high HIV-prevalence settings.
