ABSTRACT
Human factors consultants are asked to investigate accidents that involve people of all ages. Inherent age-related capabilities and limitations often make it necessary to look beyond the basic facts of a case. Specific cognitive and physical characteristics can be identified and addressed for the populations of preschoolers, adolescents, and older individuals to gain a thorough understanding of their behavior in accident scenarios.
