ABSTRACT
An intense debate has developed over the past 10 years on the increasing rate of Cesarean sections worldwide. The obstetric community has dedicated a large number of publications and discussions to this controversial topic. Many clinicians consider the Cesarean section as a major procedure with many risks, while others believe that it is a quite safe, simple procedure in routine obstetric practice1.
