ABSTRACT
Sections I and II present the definitions and illustrations of some basic terms of water conveyance and computational hydraulics. However, the vocabulary of these fields is more extensive. Here is a list of other terms likely to be found in the technical literature. They were not included due to size limitations. Interested readers may find their definitions in the following references. See Section IV for the full titles of the references. This list includes numerous brand names, trademarks, or other commercial terms, generally identified by the symbol ®, whether registered or not.
