ABSTRACT
The preceding chapters discussed the use of Web content mining for counter-terrorism. Note that Web content mining is essentially mining the data on the Web. That is, Web content mining is about data mining carried out on the Web. Much of the discussions in Chapters 20 through 23 are applicable for data mining even if the data mining is not carried out on the Web. In Chapter 20, we discussed Web database management and mining for counter-terrorism. Chapter 21 addressed information retrieval and Web mining for counter-terrorism. Chapter 22 discussed various information management technologies and mining for counter-terrorism. Chapter 23 discussed semantic Web mining for counter-terrorism.
