ABSTRACT
I have taken it upon myself to write about Yakov Borisovich on March 8, 1989, his 75th birthday. I have just seen and heard him for the first time since his death-the film Scientific Roles of Academician Zeldovich was shown on television, and once again, his death seemed completely wild and implausible to me.
