ABSTRACT
In Chapter 2 various methods of producing engineering components from liquid metal were described. But there is another way that objects can be formed from raw material which, like molten metal, has no initial fixed shape, and that is by powder metallurgy (PM). However, unlike casting processes, liquid metal is not involved. The PM process can therefore be described as the art of making objects from metallic and non-metallic powders.
