ABSTRACT
Over the past 20 years, the horticultural nursery trade has found ever-increasing ways to utilize micropropagation as a practical and cost-effective production tool. This chapter will describe some of the basic steps involved in plant micropropagation, discuss some of the practical aspects of the commercial micropropagation business, and give some examples of how and why micropropagation is being used by growers today.
