ABSTRACT: Due to industrialization and urbanization, the social economy develops in an unparalleled speed, while it certainly fosters the consumption of natural resources and the pressure to protect ecological environment. In this study, association rule mining approach was proposed to analyze the effects of socio-economic development and environmental risks on city life-cycle under the consideration of birth, death, and emigration rates. The Weka implementation of Apriori and Tertius algorithms were performed to generate rules and the most interesting rules were listed.
