ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Typhoon catastrophic events in recent years in China indirectly illustrate the deficiency of the traditional risk assessment model. The formal model of typhoon catastrophe risk assessment is given. According to the features of high uncertainty and temporal discreteness with respect to typhoon catastrophes, fuzzy information optimizing process technology is developed to build the hazard assessment model using the method of fuzzy information diffusion, and the vulnerability assessment model using the method of fuzzy information matrix. It aims to promote the improved typhoon catastrophe risk assessment technology in China.
