ABSTRACT
Tetrabutyl titanate (25 mL) was dissolved into 30 mL of anhydrous ethanol under stirring magnetically. Then the solution was added dropwise to 60 mL mol/L nitric acid and it was stirred at room temperature for 1.5 h. After that, 5% diatomite solution was added to the solution. The sol was then aged for 16 h until the formation of gel. Then dried and ground.
