ABSTRACT

Subsea pipelines fulfill a range of important functions in the development of offshore oil and gas fields. For example, infield pipelines are used to link wells and longer distance export pipelines are used to transport products ashore or to a central offshore facility. Ancillary pipelines may also be present, providing water or gas injection to the reservoir or transporting additives.
