ABSTRACT
Each year, avalanches cause very important economical, sociological and environmental impacts; then, it is of main interest to develop efficient risk mitigation actions. This mitigation efficiency depends on the accurate knowledge of the studied system. Different scales of risk analysis may be considered (§ 4.2); the study scale will determinate the studied consequences, the associated responsibilities and the action possibilities.
