ABSTRACT

In order to utilize infrared radiation, acoustic emission and other monitoring instruments comprehensively, the authors designed an experiment system which consists of loading control system, multi-point strain monitoring system, infrared image system and multi-channel acoustic emission monitoring system. Uniaxial compression tests were carried out on composite samples composed of “Sandstone-Coal” and “Sandstone-Coal-Mudstone”, respectively. The forewarning features during the failure process of the composite structure were monitored. The correlations between acoustic emission, strain, loading and infrared radiation were comparatively analyzed.
